Are Designer Handbags Worth The Money
By Lee MacRae
Young women today desire to emit a fashion statement in their appearance. And one of the ways to complete a fashion statement is a great handbag by a designer like Donna Sharp or Maxx New York. But one of the worries is the amount of money, they may have to pay. Are they worth what you have to pay?
For most people, of course, they obtain their money through hard work. So, is that expensive Brahmin bag or purse a good investment? Is going to last? And the answer that question is yes, they are. Why?
There is some truth to the oftten heard statement, "you will pay for the name". But you should also understand you will pay for quality when you buy a name brand product. The best bags made by Brighton or Nicky Hilton will incorporate only the best leathers on the market.
Want a hint to know what you're getting? Top designer handbags will always have a fine lining material inside. Cheaper handbags will not. Makers of lower grade products look for every possible way to keep costs down. As a result, you will find cheaper linings and even cheaper hardware. You're wasting your money. Full-grain leather is made from the finest natural hides with no imperfections. This natural grain is extremely durable. It simply does not wear out and over years of use, it darkens to its full beautiful patina in various stages. The skins of young cattle are usually used for full grain handbags and are prized for their smooth texture and fine quality.
So is it worth it to purchase a leather bag made by American Eagle or Ralph Lauren? Yes indeed. You'll be purchasing a fine quality handbag or purse that will finish off your outfit perfectly.

Dont go swimsuit shopping tired or full. Its not time for bathing suit shopping after eating a full meal or completing a hard days work. In a negative frame of mind, nothing will satisfy you. In fact, it may even completely discourage you. Try to go swimsuit shopping in the morning or early afternoon, perhaps after you've exercised and drank lots of water, when look and feel your best.

Haute couture The type of fashion design which predominated until the 1950s was "made-to-measure" or haute couture, (French for high-fashion). The term made-to-measure may be used for any garment that is created for a specific client. Haute couture, however, is a protected term which can only be officially used by companies that meet certain well-defined standards set by the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. Nonetheless, many ready-to-wear, and even mass market labels, claim to produce haute couture, when in fact, according to established standards, they do not. A couture garment is made to order for an individual customer, and is usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric, sewn with extreme attention to detail and finish, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. Look and fit take priority over the cost of materials and the time it takes to make.

Canada DevDays 2004
Thu, 12 Feb 2004 14:21:00 GMT
Ever since I read about the Microsoft DevDays 2004 event I rushed to their site in order to find out if there was any Canadian cities listed! Unfortunately, I could not find any information related to a Canada DevDays event occurring after 2001.
At first I thought that this year's event was US-only, but then I stumbled upon David Cumps' reports from Belgium DevDays and then Roy Osherove writing about Israel DevDays!
Sure, the January issue of INETA mentions a Microsoft Canada Campus Tour organized by DotNetStudents.ca. There is also Steven Smith from ASPAlliance who gave a great speech at the Montreal Visual Studio User Group on February 10th 2004. But that's pretty much it for the coming months.
This is very sad because I would have been one of the first to register for this event! Hopefully next year we will see a Canada DevDays 2005?
UPDATE:
Phil Weber also mentionned in the comments, VSLine! in Toronto in early May 2004. Great!

Shop for colors that fit fall
Summer sales racks make us impossibly giddy, and with the retail market slumping this year, that enticing rack of marked-down clothes is bigger than ever. But rather than completely give in to our senses and grab hold of that $30 yellow blouse (the one that won't see more than another month of daylight), why not make your money go further by looking for clothes that can be parlayed into fall?
VMware and Parallels for Virtual Machines
Mon, 25 Feb 2008 06:30:00 GMT
It doesn't matter if you're running on Windows or Mac OS X - every power user needs either Parallels or VMware (or both). There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with VMware and/or Parallels.
